The Red-bellied Parrot (Poicephalus rufiventris) is a small African parrot about 9 inches long. It is a mostly greenish and grey parrot. Males have a bright orange belly and females have a greenish belly.
Typically males have a bright orange lower chest and abdomen, while adult females are greenish on these lower areas.
A small to medium sized parrot. Sweet. They even smell sweet! They can be wonderful pets, especially for apartment dwellers (not as noisy as some parrots!)
